They cut her hair!

I am posting two posts in a row today!  So, if you are reading this one, check out the post below too as it is new. The title of this blog is about the new photos I saw today of Teagan. Her hair is cut - kind of a round bowl cut. It's very sweet. In the first photo, she is the 2nd from the right. She is next to Grace who is on her right.

In my prior post, I mentioned that our luggage did not make it with us. As it turns out, our luggage would not arrive for another 36 hours, so we needed clothes for the conference that we were attending that day and spent the morning shopping for clothes. When we asked for Jason’s shoe size and pant size, we were often greeted with outright laughter and waving of hands to leave the store because they didn't have these sizes-  which was really funny. We did eventually find something.  We met with friends and colleagues at the conference and it was good to catch up with people. Jason even ran into a colleague of ours from Florida in a convenient store.

We’ve had a very good time in Shanghai. We have had two fantastic dinners thanks to the recommendation of our neighbor John for fabulous Mexican food at Maya’s! Cheers John!

And we met our friend and colleague Ray for dinner one night for Yunan food, at Lost Heaven.  Amazing food. We’ve spent most of the post conference time relaxing and resting -  swimming in the pool and playing card games. Catherine and I did a manicure – she did bright blue:)

We did venture out however. There is a great park right by our hotel, we've been there twice. People are doing Tai Chi, Qi Gong, exercising on the equipment, reading, and older people are playing card games in groups. Note the Haibo Shirt Catherine is wearing. Haibo is the mascot of the Expo, and it is one set of clothes she chose for herself while we waited for our bags.

We also visited a Catholic Church close to us as well – St. Ignatius Dad! (Xujiahia Church). No photos allowed inside, but it was pretty spectacular – lots of mini chapels, Mary’s, and so on. We were able to take photos outside the church and in the Mary Garden.

I am going to publish this post now, and work on the rest of our journey to the Longhua Temple and so on in my next post.

Quick note- you will notice the redesign by Alexis. Thank you!
