Beijing

Wow! It's really hot here....We toured about 8 hours yesterday - Tienanmen square, Forbidden City, Silk Factory, was asked by random children if they could take photos of me alone and with them, took a rickshaw ride and was in a rickshaw accident.....but that's another story. Today, another 8 hours - including the Great Wall.  This is Catherine and Bailey, both 6, at the end of the day on the bus. I would have done the same thing if I could have.

Best part of the day was meeting our travel group - a great group! We are really lucky to have been matched with two great travel groups for both adoptions.  Some fun facts  on this group - a pair of sisters and their spouses are in our group,  there is a couple from Lexington, Kentucky who used the same home study agency we did when we lived there, 3 Michelle's, 2 other families with children at Angel's Home, and I believe there is at least one couple with 8 children.  Best, of all there are 5 girls close in age - Bailey, Catherine, Erin, Francesca, and  Natalee!  Drew Neighbors - it's like a temporary "Drew Crew." Here are four of the "Big Five" (a joke to my colleagues) at the silk factory.

Here we are at Tienanmen Square. What's really fun is we have photos of Teagan in some of the same places we went today (like below) and will go to tomorrow.

Forbidden City

Rickshaw Ride - did I mention it is really hot?

A photo Catherine took of goldfish during our walk though Hutong, these are in a bowl in a courtyard, and Catherine and Erin looking at the river in Hublot.
