TA NEWs!!!

I am singing "People get ready..." all day today! (think Eva Cassidy). There is a TA train coming next week! Our agency hopes to have them by Wednesday or Thursday. Our travel plans are up in the air but I do know we will hold our baby girl on June 21st which will be Father's Day here. If we cannot get a CA date in June, then we will leave the last week in June and we will get Teagan on June 28th which is Catherine's Family Day too!!!! WOW!

I also learned two new friends of mine will travel with us for sure - Emily and Dawn. Dawn has a baby at Angels Home (Grace) where Teagan is. I cannot tell you how much it means to me to travel with these two families. It looks like we have a large group. I am hopeful that Dawn's sister can go as well and another mom (Meagan) whose baby is at Angel's House as well. In this photo, Grace is the 3rd baby from the left and Megan's baby is the 4th baby from left. Teagan is the first baby on left and is next to Benjamin who is already with his family.

I am grateful to be in contact with the mothers of each baby in this photo! Benjamin has already joined his parents (Child in back center). If we are lucky, we will even travel with one of the families who has a similar timeline!

I was very excited to find some updated photos of Teagan and her friends at Angel's House. She is walking! It looks like she has received amazing care at Angels Home and we are so grateful.

We also learned that the "Angel Mothers" have been calling Teagan "Little Peas" - hence then name of this blog!

Welcome to Little Peas Blog!

Welcome! Hopefully, I will be blogging soon about our trip to China! For now, let me tell you where we have been. On February 5th, we received "the call!" It was quite a surprise as we had been told we had another 18 months to wait. I was at work, Jason was in the parking lot of Lunds with Catherine when Sarah at CCAI made the call. Sarah also called us for Catherine's referral and it meant a lot to receive our referral for Tegan from Sarah.

On the right are the first photos we had of Teagan. It was love at first sight and the minute we saw her, and we knew our decision would be YES when her photo came through.

Her name is Qian Jia Yue which means beautiful and happy or joy. Teagan is an Irish name that also means beautiful. We will be naming her Teagan Jia. Teagan was 10 months when we first saw her. She will be closer to 15 months by the time we hold her for the first time. She is living in Angel's Home in Beijing and from what I have been able to see on their web page, she is receiving amazing care and love from the Angel Moms. We are eternally grateful to the ladies who run Angels Home. She has already had one surgery and we expect there will be more to come when she comes home.

We are waiting for our travel approval. We hope it will come this week and that we can go in mid June. This wait has been very hard.
